1.I think… summer is the best season

 Because… you can go swimming at the pools or the beach with your family and it is warm

My evidence: But on some days of January, February, the water temperature warms up to 20°C and above. The average water temperature in Christchurch in winter reaches 10°C, in spring 12°C, in summer the average temperature rises to 17°C, and in autumn it is 15°C. source..link

2.I think…strawberries are not the best fruit 

Because… they can be hard and some time soft and sometimes not very sweet. Sometimes they are sour.

My evidence:

Any berry will taste blander in wet seasons or if the grower waters too much. The extra water dilutes the sugars in the fruit. And a third factor is sunlight. Berries grown in full sun do better and taste sweeter than those in part shade source.link.

3.I think…cats do not make the best pets

Because… you can not take them on a walk or to the rivers but with a dog you can.

Last day of swimming

we have been swimming at canterbury swim school. I liked jumping off than board and simming on my back. My goal was to well actually I don't think I had a goal but I think I did pretty good though. My favourit thin was falling backwards in the pool and something I am proud of is swimming on my back as fast as I was going.

1. I think…  Dog are better than cats 

Because… dog are more play full and train then better so if someone come up to your door they will bark.

My evidence:Dogs get to be house-trained, and most will stick to their schedule. They’ll wait to do their business during a walk or in the yard.Source link

Because…they are young and there are lots of young people that

have been in lots of car accidents.

Because…If you eat too much at school because they  might get diabetes

Today we went to Canterbury swim school.I did bubble, breathing. I have learn how to do floating on my back and kicking on my back.I like about that my instructor was very cool and nice.

 Today I am going to show you what me and my reading group have been learning about this week. I have learnt we have to look both ways before crossing a road. I have done a poster to show you how to be safe out on the roads  and if you are a young boy or girl make sure  you are with an adult so you don't get hurt.

Something that I did well was finding appropriate photos to use on my poster. One thing I could have done better is use a brighter colour to make my poster stand out more.

We have been learning about the layers of the forest and different New Zealand Native birds. One morning I was walking back from school  . I smelled  the   animal poop very bad.As I was walking I fell in a hole it took me to a Te Ngahere. I look up at the tree and I saw that there was a tree house in the tree.I could spilled lots of  rotten flesh by the tree house.then was  bugs all over me  then I went into the tree house.It was brown and blue.then it was getting dark so I was going to go home but i got lost on the way home so I went back to the tree house.I got my Sleeping bag out of my bag it was a blue and red.I went to go and make my bed to sleep on with my sleeping bag .It was the morning I got up at 5:20 to fine my way home form the tree house I did not fine my way home so I went back to the tree house.   I was a very  chatty person I have curly brown shoulder length.the end

Swallowed by a whale

Dear Readers,

We have been learning how to write a recount.As a year 6's we need to  say who, why, what, where, when and how. We need to write in first person (I) and are told in past tense.we have been focusing on using dialogue, emotions and strong vocabulary.

We watched a YouTube video about a diver being Swallowed by a whale and listened to his Interviewer .You can watch video here.

Here is my Interviewer that I wrote ,imagining I was the diver and telling my recount of this experience.

 

 Interviewer:  were you taking photos  of before you got swallowed by the Whale ? 

Diver  I was taking photos of the sardines because it was very cool and fun to look that an I noticed that it can attract sharks,whales and lot of marine animals .

Interviewer:before the whale grabbed you did you see the Whale coming to you ?

Diver   I did  not see the  big whale come to me .

 Interviewer: what did  it feel like when you where inside the Whale ?Diver It was pushed my head together and I could feel the pressure and could feel the pressure and instantly.
